The goal of most propagandists is not to make you support one side and oppose another, but rather it is designed to make you oppose everyone, and then disengage from the fight. This is why we hear a lot about how "both sides are equally terrible" when this clearly isn't the case. They don't want to change our minds. They want us to stop caring altogether.
